is it possible to upgrade straight away to 0.50 even though i have 0.45 and also is possible that the psp will brick when the psar data is being dumped

1. no you'd need another insatll which isnt hard....

2. no it will not as it doesnt touch the flash although there is liek a 0.5% cance of a brick when you flash the config file...
