I'm just wondering when Sony made these because i'm thinking about getting yet another friend a PSP (i've bought four already including myself) but I don't want to pick up a TA-082. If I can't get the seller to open up the PSP, I need to know some time frame that Sopny decided to make TA-082's.

I mean how long has it been since Sony has started making TA-082's. Obviously they saw that people were playing iso's off the psp so they tried to cancel that out by creating new TA-082's. That's what i meant.

They created them around the time that firmware 2.5 came out because the first TA-082 PSPs had firmware 2.5.

That means that it doesn't have a TA-082 motherboard.

Does it have any writing on the other side?
