I don't know why anybody would risk good money on something shady like this. Just the fact that they aren't compatible with some burners would be enough to keep me from risking good money.

Um...Philips and HP are +R writers. What did you expect from a -R disc?? They are very cheap Carlitob, it would be hard to tell what the quality would be like. Ask for manufacture and dye info and if its sounds ok, and you dont mind spending that much, go for it i reckon.
