Gday;

Some fellow suggested I use WinHIIp to transfer my *legally* owned PS2 backups. I copied an .iso of GT4 blah blah blah so I connect my brand stinking new Hitachi Deskstar to an available IDE port and my computer shut down LoL. I tried it next time around and my computer didn't fail this time, but the HDD did. Nothing recognizes it. I tried every single jumper setting. When I connect it to my beloved V9 and turn it on, the thing won't even spin and make any noises like it did before. Well every next Edison needs to fuck up a couple of times before success will come. So, anyone wanna tell me what I did wrong ;P ?

I'm gonna venture out on a limb here and say you f'd up when you attempted to plug the IDE cable in with the PC powered on. no telling what kind of signal you sent to the platters and the read/write heads. you should be a bit less crude with your choice of wordage above, this is a public forum, have a little respect for fellow readers.

yeah the f bomb slipped out of my keyboard but that happens when you just mess up a brand new HDD ;P. I think I'm going to forget the whole PS2 mess, and buy me a used Xbox, exploit it, and enjoy life.
