Hi
im having problems writing files to disc. ive done it heaps before using decrypter, but now doesnt work. ive downloaded replacement copies of it, tried using different programs as well, like Nero, imgburn, and others, but always get different type of error messages.
could it be my cd burner?

im sticking with decrypter and imgburn as i find these easy to use.

this is the error message in the log

11:38:12 Failed to Reserve Track! - Invalid Field in CDB
11:38:14 Operation Failed! - Duration: 00:00:04
11:38:14 Average Write Rate: N/A - Maximum Write Rate: N/A

Can anyone out there help me with this prob? or know what this means?
i followed the burning guides exactly.

T.I.A!!

I have had similar problem. I wrote Plextor support. They asked me to so a blink test per the manual. I called the 800 support number. I was told if the drive if out of warranty they don't support it anymore and was cheaper to buy another burner than to repair it. You can dang well believe it will be another Plextor product. It is just a year old. If this is what you call support I don't need a product ever again from them. All the promises they made in the reviews a few years back were a joke.

several things can cause that same error, my first guess is are you trying to burn an img that is to large for the intended disc??

Run a test on the drive as plextor had me do. Mine is a px716uf. Put switch in back in test mode. Hold the eject button down while turning the power on and the tray will eject. Put a good DVD in drive. At the end of the test you wil see the drive light blink 1 time or 2 times until you turn the power off. 1 blink the burner is ok and will eject the disk. Then it is a software problem. 2 blinks is a problem with the drive and the disk wont eject.

You may even want to try uninstalling the device in the control panel. Then reinstall it, update the firmware if there is any, and possibly the drivers if they are available.
Not sure about the PS2 version but i know Call Of Duty 3 for Xbox
will fit on a DVD just fine. So the PS2 version should as well as they are normally about the same.

look on the back of the drive. yours may be different. may need a ink pen to change it over. it is recessed.

sorry,,,should have added,,,,visit plextor.com suppot page for your drive. anyone here may tell ya this and that. if the drive is bad nothin you can do other than get can of electronics cleaner which is a can of air to clean it. dont use dvd/cd cleaner, it will scratch the led.
