i have a modded ps2. i couldnt get PAL ps1 games to boot up on it. it goes to a screen that says please insert a playstation or playstation 2 game. can anyone help me with this

im not really sure if i can disasseble it..is their a way u can boot it..like hold a button or something..cuz thats what i do with dvd's

there are as many different MFGs of chips are there are cars and most have their own boot time contorler mapping or reset/eject boot mode settings, nobody can take a stab in the dark at what will work for you without knowing which chip it is. most of the older chips that used reset/eject boot mode selection you tap reset from standby for PS2 mode (all except original DVD based games) you held reset from standby till the blue eject lite came on for PSX/DVD (and original PS2 DVD games) mode or held it 5 seconds to turn the chip off.

Is your console NTSC? Does it boot NTSC PS1 back-ups. Yes taking the console apart is the best way to determine what chip you have. Many chips have the same boot sequence so that inst enough info to determine what you have.
