This could probably go in a couple different places.

I recently made a new partition for Linux, but then I decided it was way too big. I have an 80gb hdd, with ~40gb for my Windows partition, ~8gb for a recovery partition, ~25gb for my Linux partition. I resized the Linux partition to ~7gb, and I want to add the extra 18gb to my Windows partition. For some reason, though, it won't let me. Any idea why?

I'm using GParted, btw. It's currently shown as unallocated space, but I can't make the Windows partition any larger.

I think there is a limit on the number of partitions you can have on the primary drive. Not sure what that limit is.

I'm not trying to make another one. I have unallocated space that I want to add to my Windows partition, but it won't let me.

Im not sure the OS will let you do that, Add space to an active OS partition because it is being used by the system. You would still need to format that unallocated space but it would do the whole os part of the drive. There might be a program such as partition magic that may work. I never had any luck with those types of programs though.
