how to install IDE HDD without modem

Hello all,

I want to install an IDE HDD to my PS2. I want to know that is there any way to do so without a modem. Moreover I need maps of Ps2 V7,v8,v9
boards, specially the map of the back side of the PS2 board near modem connecter.

install it and buy the HD Loader or HD Advance discs
then those can format it.

or use a program for the PC that you can install, then just put the HDD in the PC as a slave drive and format it there. You will also be able to put on games this way.

installing a hard drive has nothing to do with a modem. You just need a network adapter for the PS2

I meant to say that how to install IDE HDD to PS2 V7,V8 without network adapter that's why i asked for circuit diagrams. If there is any tutorial for this task then it would be great.
