I tried a backup of Over The Hedge that was burned on a Fuji (Ritek dye) Dual Layer disc on my 360, and it wouldn't play. It just said "Open Tray", as if there was nothing there. Does this mean my 360 won't read this brand after I flash the drive, or just not until the drive is flashed?

If it won't read a movie that has been bured on original firmware, you can bet it won't read a game burned on it after you flash.

- Just seen above post. Maybe I'm wrong but I only use Verbatim.

Ritek is ok media for 360 unless it's Memorex branded. Still it's not good as Verbatim especially if you have a Hitachi drive. Even with the latest firmware I've gotten an open tray error on a Ridata (ritek's own brand) disc on a Hitachi despite the same disc playing fine on a Samsung. Please note other Ridata discs did work in that Hitachi. It just shows how they are not as reliable as Verbatims.

That's cool. I wonder if there's a difference in the media reading ability of different Hitachi models like 47d or whatever or if it's just a fluke type thing with that Ritek not working in that Hitachi for me. Regardless, I usually can find the Verbatims on sale and buy enough to last me until the next sale.
