I've been searching high and low for this info and can't seem to find it anywhere.
Is the DMS4 Pro S.E. compatible with the new v15 slimline PS2?
If not - which of the top 3 modchips are compatible?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

Well, according to the guys at mod-chip.com the DMS4 Pro SE is compatible with the v15 playstation. I ordered the chip and it's on its way. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks,

it's quiet easy to figure out, it's what most of us do on new consoles. a rude and crude version included below, i thought you were just asking if they were compatible, not looking for a diagram.

Thanks KC36330,
Has this diagram been confirmed to work with DMS4 Pro SE and the v15?
Also, I took mine apart the other day and i couldn't find a motherboard # on it so I can't tell it it's a GH-051-51 or a GH-051-12 (I think that's the other v15 number). is there another way to tell what mb I have?
I'm sure it is easy to figure you for smart peopl like you, but for doofuses like me I could never figure it out without some help. So thank you very much.

so far on the V15's all I've ran across in my neck of the woods are -51s and all have been plainly marked on the board. you may search around the net and find more on what you're after but regardless the DMS4 Pro SE is going to work on it you just have to find the correct contact points, they may be very similar i wouldn't know witout having the board here to check for myself.

You are a champ! Thanks so much for your help and quick replies.
Sorry I'm kind of slow but I have one last question.
Have you verified that the diagram you showed me is fully functional with DMS4 Pro SE and that version of the motherboard (GH-051-51)?
Thanks again for making my life easier.

Yes if you install a DMS4 Pro SE onto a -51 MOBO v15 PS2 console IAW the above posted pic reference, it'll work flawlessly.

KC,
Am I correct in seeing that the C point is on the other side of the board? How do I attach a wire to that?
Thanks again,
Matt

yes, C is on the opposite side, you remove the MOBO and flip it over to get to it, you should have the MOBO removed when installing the mod anyways.

Looks like mine is a GH-051-12. The label is just in a different spot. I'll have to poke around and see if I can find a diagram for it.
Thanks,
Matt

I'm in my 30's too. Shouldn't we all be sleeping right now?
What do you guys think of this diagram that I found on this other forum. It's the 10th post down, written by "hutchcj". I'd just post his image here but I looks like I can't do that.

offended?? I'm sick of the new folks who pop on the boards ever so often knowing it all and they constantly push the chip they have as the best thing ever. you love to bash the DMS and love to praise the CC, i don't bash CC or MI, I've installed more of them then i care to remember but I've also installed enough DMS chips to have a very experienced opinion on them as well. i started modding consoles when the PSX hit the street and I've modded every version of the PS2 except the V11 (never seen one here in the states) and the -12 MOBO V15, I've also installed just about every chip thats ever hit the market for an Playstation or XBOX and I'll always recommend a chip to my customer based on what they want out of the chip, believe it or not, I've recommended the CC to allot of online gamer customers. the only definite i have is with the XBOX, you simply can't get any better then the Xecuter X3ce and it's the only chip I'll recommend and the only one I'll purchase, if the customer wants a different chip, they buy it and I'll install it then.
oh and last time i checked that wasn't my b-day.

Yes that one will do. The C point is on the top in that diagram which you might find easier to do.
Have fun and don't stay up to late you old farts!
@KC believe it or not I had back-up carts for the Atari 2600 ... so do we really need to go down the road of "who had the most experience" just to make your statements appear more valid some how.
