Panasonic DMR-E85/95 TVGuide Recording Clarification

I have both the Panasonic DMR-E85H & DMR-E95HS DVD recorders and recently started having some problems with the 95 not recording shows it has in its schedule. It has the latest firmware and has been working fine for about 2 years (and has no other problems), but it just did not record several shows last week that it has in the past. One common thing was that all these shows were scheduled to record at 10:00 in the evening and each was just after another show had just recorded, but on different channels.

I have quite a few shows scheduled (about 25) on a "weekly" basis and that is what my first question is. What is the difference in setting a show to be recorded "regularly" and "weekly"? The manual does not say.

Anyone else having this type problem?
