New to PS2 - does the PS2 community have anything like Craxtion in the Xbox community?

Hi,
I just got a PS2 for my boys (7, 5, 2) for Christmas. Experience has taught me that these guys go through game DVDs like mice go through cheese (it's always enjoyable watching them use them as slides across the kitchen floor - ah, good times).

Anyway, I've had an Xbox for a while and I educated myself how to backup my games on that. Even better, there is a program called Craxtion that lets you build a multi-game disc. This allows me to save some dinero on DVDs (Xboxs don't like CDs) since I can throw 4 or 5 games on a single DVD and Craxtion will autobuild a menu screen.

Is there anything comparable in the PS2 community?

personally i have never tried it. But your PS2 should have no problems reading a CD if you go that route.

I have read about people making the multi-game discs but have also heard that it is a hit or miss as to whether it will work. Hopefully someone who has done it can answer.
But since DVD's are only about 30 cents each these days even for a top quality one i usually just use one disc per game.

its possible but a waste of time imo,just like the time i wasted when writing this little guide :)

but if your new to ps2,then dont bother to be honest
the only time when i would suggest trying to compile a multi game dvd is when you have too much time on your hands,like old gits like me
and seeing that you have 3 boys,i doubt that very much

Thanks, Steimy.

I got a V7 PS2 and just received the flip top case mod today. I see you have the same - any gotchas to be aware of when I make the change? What's been your experience with this?

I have an Xbox with a Xenium chip - talk about a no hassle solution. I'm worried that since three little boys will be using this, the mod chip may need to be my ultimate choice. What are your thoughts on training little ones to use the flip top?

Yeah, Hursty, that's a little more intensive than what I'm looking for. I did search and didn't see anything comperable to Craxtion - but I hoped since the PS2 had been out longer that there was something in that vein and maybe it was just tucked away.
