I am a new at this. I got the games from gamestorrents.com. I have read threads from the past and I kind of understand it now but not excactly yet. I have a DVD Decrypter and a dvd burner. I also have 8x DVD-R that are a generic brand (officemax). I know not to put the speed past 4x when burning the game to the dvd. I just dont get if I do anything to the files before burning or not. I have the slim ps2 with the top that flips. I have the swap majic disc and I was wondering if I have to do anything to my ps2 besides just putting the disc in. if so can you tell me step by step directions briefly describing what I have to do to my ps2? also step by step directions on how to burn the games? I would really appreciate feedback.

thanks

Try reading some of the 'sticky' tutorial topics here & in the dvd backup forum. Those'll answer the majority (if not all) of your questions.
And get better branded media. The discs MUST be good quality or you'll just be burning coasters.

first thing i will ask is this. The fliptop you have on your slim PS2. Did you buy it or is it the one it came with?
When people talk about a fliptop it can not be the one that the PS2 came with, it has to be one that you bought online that will keep it from resetting when you open it.
That or a set of keys like Magic Keys. If you get Magic Keys make sure you get the correct set for your version PS2.
Swap Magic alone will not play your back ups

And also it would help if you told people what files you are trying to burn. Torrents are usually a bunch of really small (rar) files.
You have to use WinRAR to extract the first file to get the ISO file that you would burn.

Search these topics here "Winrar" or "torrent" or rar files"
