I wanted to start off by saying that the DNAS ID lists were extremley helpful, but I found out yesterday that one of my games, Delta Force: Black Hawk Down: Team Sabre was actually in PAL, so the US DNAS ID did not work (obviously) since it was a US ID. Does anyone know where I could possibly get an ID for the game or does anyone have it? I did a pretty extensive search and found nothing. Actually I take that back... most of my search results were from someone at this forum who has a "latest additions to DNAS list" in their sig with Team Sabre (US) in it. That's very frustrating because nearly every search result was that person's sig... doing more harm than good in my opinion :(
Anyways, if you guys could help me out I would be extremley greatful!
Look a few pages back from the last page of the PAL Disc ID list, I'm sure it was posted around when the game was released. If not, then the answer is staring you in the face right now, as it already has been with every search you did!
BTW: You do know that if you're in a region different from the game you're patching, then you can't just patch the disc ID & expect to play?
You'll get an 833 region error code from the DNA$ check cos, for example, you have a US PS2 & a PAL game trying to connect to PAL servers.
Unless you've already done the extra modification to your PS2's internal region ID, then do a forum search for more info about 'Machine ID Changer'.
And if you don't have a 'fat' v1-v7 PS2, then don't bother. As it can only be done with one of those.
Ok, thanks :) I have not modified my PS2's Region ID or anything like that yet (And didn't know you had to) so thanks for the info. I'll look around for some threads explaining the "Machine ID Changer". It really sucks that some of the games i'm looking for I can only find in PAL... Not only do I have to change my Machine ID, but I have problems displaying the picture on my T.V. (The audio in FMV's skip, and the top & bottom of the screen is cut off). Oh well...
Oh, I have another question, though: I read something on my Swap Disc package that says "Can launch program from Memory Card". It has it in bold letters as if it was one of the main features... does this mean I can load a backup / import PS2 game via the memory card rather than having to use the swap disc all the time?
No. It means you can launch small apps like 'uLaunchELF' from the memory card instead of burning them to CD which would use a whole 700Mb CD just for a few kb's/mb's worth of space.
