Monitor connection problems please help!

I have a monitor connection with the 3 plugs for the ps2 to go in which is red,yellow and white and a s-video connection to coming from it. When i plu the connection into my lcd monitor its doesnt pick up a signal the screen is just blank and it tells me there is no signal by the on power button. Does anybody have any suggestion on how they can help me please

if you connected the yellow to video and it is reporting 'no signal' and you know your AV cable from the PS2 is good (it works on something else) then you have a problem internal to the monitor.

shouldn't be any settings to change, it's a video carrier signal port and if the PS2 has signal on it's output (the yellow) and you have it plugged in the port and it works as you say then you should have video as long as both monitor and PS2 are on the same carrier type (PAL/NTSC)

not to worry now anyway just bought a vga box instead and a ps3 is on my way the uk version
