Hello there,
right iam getting a jap ps3 from hong kong, does any one know if i will be able to update the firmware in the uk??? and if its easy to change the ps3 language from jap to english????, if any one could help, would be great!!!! thanks...;-)

i know you can change the language. and if it anything like psp you will be able to install firmware from different regions.

I live in Turkey. And updated my PS3 like this: I've downloaded the update file, then put it on a memory stick, and then updated my PS3 with the memorystick.
The memorystick must have a folder named "PS3" and a subfolder "UPDATE".
Place the update in the "UPDATE" folder. And you can update your PS3 from the system update!
It's simple.

Hi, I've got the 60gig jap model and it runs fine with a 240-110v step down converter. You can get one of these from any electrical retailer like maplins. Is it the case that I have to download additional software to run ps2 games? I went to the japanese site but couldn't work out what to download onto my mem stick. Can I use a file from the us/canada site? Can anyone give a link to the right file? Thanks
