Afternoon. I have the following TV and am wondering if anyone has any input as to whether this would be OK to use the HD cables with the 360? All I keep reading is that the lcd and plasma tv's are great. I was just wondering if a rear projection HDTV would be decent with HD?

Thanks

It supports 1080i so I would think it would be decent.

You will get burn in with that tv. A DLP HDTV has zero burn in like mine:

Just get the best Tv you can afford. I myself have the Sony KDF-55A2000 SXRD. 1080p is just awesome.

Not correct. Dashboard can burn in. And a lot of games have static displays like scores ect. that will burn in fast.

So I shouldn't use this TV? If I can't I probably won't get the 360. I have a regular 32' tv in my room, but this is the only HDTV I own.....

You could use it. I used to play on my older RPTV. Never played long to avoid burn in.

That I'm not sure about. I depends on the amount of time a graphic is displayed. I had burn in on my old RPTV from network logos.

My friend has and older Sony Wega rear projection and he hasn't had any problems with burn in. He's had it about 4 years.

I have had my 65" rear projection for 4 yrs and burn-in was quite clearly present in less than a year. I would never again buy another HDTV where burn-in was possible.

Now that only happens when there is something that stays on the screen for a while right? Like a health bar or something?

Yes.
Games if you play them for hours and hours, but the worst is none HD television programming. Unfortunately not all I watch is in HD, and zooming a hockey game isn't an option. So burn-in on both ends does become an issue before too long and it's horrible. :-(

That's what I get for being cheap.....I think I paid 988 for the tv. Maybe I will hold off on getting the 360 until I get a new tv.....
