I've recently noticed that when I burn a DVD DATA disc that when I put the disc back in the computer it acts as if theres nothing burned on there and tries to say its empty until you try to burn on it again and then it informs you its been burned but still shows nothing in Windows Explorer. If you use IsoBuster you can see the files on the disc though. Any idea whats going on? I have a NEC 2500A with the latest firmware 1.0B I believe.

How did you do when you had Nero 6, I tried Nero 7 and had trouble with it so I went back to Nero 6.6.0.18 which works very well some people like 7 but its a bit buggy for me Have you tried to backup a movie? If go through the steps lets know what happens .Also there is a fourm in After Dawn just for Nero

I can back up movies and make mp3 discs but if I use the whole DATA DVD option, which I was putting anime on a DVD disc for my friend, you can't see the files and XP acts like the disc is blank but like I said, if you run IsoBuster with the disc in, that program sees the files.

I'm about to go back to Nero 6 as well as I don't like 7 and the only reason I went with 7 was because I thought the reason I couldnt see the disc might have been because of Nero 6 or something.

I posted a topic in the Nero forum but didnt get any help so I thought it might be an issue with the burner. Is there any other programs you can use to make and burn DATA discs with?
