Hi wanted to upgrade to windows xp service pack 2. However as i was installing a lot of the files about 8 of them would not copy,so I chose the option to skip them. Now when xp goes to load in the blue screen similar to the dekstop,(or then next step after files have been copied) it is in restart mode, it starts over. how do I revert back to the original xp I had, so my computer will work.

Two ways.

Google "slipstreaming XP SP2" and create an XP SP2 CD from your original...however, if you only have one system this won't be possible.

So...put your XP CD back into the drive and boot from it. Elect to install XP. Press F8 to accept the EULA, and then choose to REPAIR the current installation.

This will put the system back to the original XP install. So you have to install all your drivers, chipset, video, sound...and a ton of updates all over again.

You'd be better off finding a way to create the SP2 slipstreamed CD and starting fresh.
