OK, First off, welcome to my hell everyone!!! I would like to begin by saying , at the end of all of my demise i in fact did not brick my drive, (thats the good news) I also kinda f'ed the pc up for a while, it kept giving me a read write failure, but then i unplugged and pplugged up the memory and the harddrives and that fixed that... i am going wayyy beyond the point of this thread sorry!
Ok! so i recieve my x360 usb thru mail, by the way mod-chip.com is awesome, so i recieve everything and i settle in.i begin by pluggin in all the neccesary, usb to x360 to back of pc open usb slot, sata to 360 drive to x360, then disconnected power( little wire on 360 drive and connected the power (little wire) from the power adaptor which comes with x360 usb, then i connected the molex connector from inside of my pc to molex on power adaptor (same one with little wire connected to 360 drive).Ok , i believe this is where i fu^%'ed up, the molex part, what i did was connect a free molex connector i had inside of my computer which is located within the hard drives. The free molex was in the middle of all the two hard drives i have. I dont know if it had power or what, plus it was way deep in my pc so i had to shove the xbox 360 all the way in my pc lol i was shiiting bricks cuz i didnt want to touch anything metal with anything, ok! so after this , i left the eject button up (off), and the modeb button down(on) corrrect, and the switch was placed ON (default). SO i go ahead and turn on my pc, the lights turned on on the x360 usb perfewctly, but then my pc gives me a read write failure, (mind you i had this problem even after i disconnected the x360 usb) so at this point i said "ok i bricked my xbox 360 nice!" but i didnt. So after all this i said f*&K it! so i took the molex connector out, and left the power adaptor from x360 usb connected to my xbox 360 drive connected but with no molex, and powered up the xbox 360 by connecting the power supply on the xbox 360 and connecting to the wall, that didnt work either, same read wrtite failure, i then thought "ok i definately bricked my drive" but i didnt!!
You guys really need to help me out, i dont know what the hells going on ! Im thinging maybe it was a pc problem i had? MAybe if i format then try again it might work. I also think it was the molex connection i did that messed it up.
Also, the way i powered up the xbox 360 with the x360 usb, was this correct, did i do it correct by leaving the power adaptor from x360 usb connected to my xbox 360 dvd drive? did i have to do oit differently. I really do not want to go the molex route inside my pc no more.. Can some one tell how to correctly power the x360 usb and power adaptor using the xbox 360 power???
Can you guys please help out. My Xbox 360 is not bricked amazingly, and im gonna keep trying to do this till i do brick this lololol just kidding..
if you guys can give me just some guidance in where i did some errors i would greatllyyy appreciate it..
