I'm trying to burn Radiata Stories, but the file never seems to work. I've tried twice.

The thing is, it has an .ISO file (4.3~ GB), and a .MDS file (5 KB). I burned the .ISO by itself at first, and when that didn't work, I burned the .MDS, thinking it'd link to the .ISO. It did, but it still didn't work.

Can anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong with this?

Its probably one of three things;
1. Bad media.
2. If you're using Swap Magic to boot your games then the game may be too big & require a rebuild or use of an additional loader like DVDLoader or Zoneloader.
3. Your laser.

But without knowing what media you use, what speed you burnt it at, what you use to boot your backups, and the proper size of the game, then nobody will be able to help you further.

I use TDK 16x DVD+R media, burned it at 4x, I use Cogswaploader to boot my games, and the file is 4.28 GB in size.

This means the file is smaller than Tales of the Abyss, which I burned using the same media, at the same speed, and TotA works just fine.

size of file is good
media you use is questionable. I have had very mixed success with both TDK media and 16X discs in general.
If you use DVD Decrypter you want to burn the MDS file.
any other program i would just use the ISO itself.
you may even want to try burning at 6X or 8X
normally 4X is the key burning speed, but that is because most people were all using an 8X DVD-R disc

also find out if your burner has the ability to booktype media.
If it does then you can booktype the DVD+R disc so that they read as a DVD-Rom, the most compatible type.
