Before you all get annoyed about another newb asking about how to burn games let me say this: I have been looking this stuff up for the past two weeks. I have seen hundreds of tutorials that say a million different things. This is my questions: I want a clear, simple, straight forward and short explanation of exactly how to burn games. From what I understand this is what I have to do:
Xbox 360 with a flashed Hitachi/LG drive
IDE to SATA adapter on my computer ( I have an older computer)
DVD ROM with the top metal plate removed (For DVD and xbox 360 game swap)
An 8.5 gig DVD Movie
1) Connect my xbox 360 which is now open to my computers motherboard via my SATA adapter.
2) Insert game disk into my xbox 360 dvd drive and extract the ss bin file from it using drive tools v 1.1
3) Create an ISO of the game file using my dvd rom with the open case.
4) Insert a movie into the dvd rom use wxripper to stop the drive once the DVD movie starts spinning.
4) Click find magic number
5) Remove movie without pressing eject(that's why the metal top is off so i can just swap them)
6) Start the dump.
7)I now have the iso and the bin file, I use ss merger to fuse the two together thus creating a .dvd file
8)I then use clone cd
- burn from image file
- locate the .dvd file, select burn and voila one xbox 360 copy.
I just want to know is this EXACTLY how you do it? If anyone knows of modifications to this procedure let me know or if you have a much easier way feel free to tell me about it.( I know you can get the games off the net but it takes too long to download so i prefer doing it myself)
Thank you for reading this post and not just telling me to look at all these different confusing tutorials.
