What kind of discs should I buy? I went through Memorex and Maxell(I guess magnet discs or whatever) thanks

Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim are among the best DVD media. They can be purchased from an online retailer such as http://www.supermediastore.com

Maxcell may work ok, leave the Memorex on the shelf because they just plain suck.
Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or Philips
8X DVD-R would be my choice

and the above store link is one of the best around for AUTHENTIC Taoyo Yuden discs and great prices. I buy all of my DVD's there.
taiyo yuden silver thermal 8x DVD-R (premium line) this is the exact one's i buy. They work every time. The only thing i can say that i did not like about them is that they have a very sticky quality to them. Meaning every piece of dust or dirt that comes near it will stick to it. But as far as the quality they are one of the best around.
