Hi i have a DMS 4 SE PRO installed in my PS2 Slimline (Silver) V13 I think?
Anyway when I try to use my Action Replay Max and get to the stage where i have to open the cd drive and put the game in to load the codes i have selected, the cd drive will not stop spinning to allow me to put the game in.
personally i only have AR Max and not AR Max Evo. But either way you have 2 options.
1. how i use AR Max is this. Stick in the AR Max disc and memory card. Then when it loads up go into expert mode. there i choose the game i want and eneable the codes and press start, then choose to load game with codes, then when it asks for a disc i stick in my back up and it loads with codes.
2. Your ToxicOS (which i hope is the latest version of V0.41) has a built in cheat device. You can take codes from Gameshark, AR Max or Codebreaker and convert them to "raw format" using a program called max convert. Then go into your settings and change the default loading so that when you start the PS2 it will load to ToxixOS rather than the normal PS2 OS
Enter the ToxicOS and there is a tab there where you can enter cheats
It takes getting use to as far as enabling them and using them but it is very similar to AR Max.
But basically you would enable the cheats you want and then hit start, it would ask to load game with codes just like AR Max and then will load the game either from a disc or hard drive with codes.\
you can get MaxConvert and some tutorials there. I would first check the DMS Forum i listed to save time. Someone may have already converted them for you.
It is weird that yours keeps spinning as we almost have the same set up. Mine is a V12 with DMS4 Pro & AR Max and when i open my fliptop it will spin, but not due to the motor. it is just the momentum. I put a finger on the black piece that sticks through the center of the disc and can easily stop it. Then i swap them. Don't try stopping it with the disc or you will get it off balance and scratch the heck out of it.
The first time i used the ToxicOS built in device it took some time to figure it out, so be patient and give it a few tries. If they are working codes then it should work. Also make sure the codes are for your games region (NTSC or PAL)
