I have managed to record H.264 transport streams from the BBC HD test transmissions. I am able to convert the first 15000 frames to MPEG-2 format with Elecard converter studio (demo version), and then to XviD avi's with virtual dub. I was wondering if there was a way to encode the orginal H.264 .ts files by demuxing them, then using an editor (like cuttermaran only with H.264 support) to cut out unwanted frames, then encode them to AVI by using an encoder like Auto GK (again with H.264 support). This is so i can encode a full program instead of just the first 15000 frames using free software, and also to retain the quality without having to convert the files first.
Is this possible as yet?

Cheers!
Martin
