Sorry, there are 1169 threads here so i can't view all to see if this question has been asked/answered. I captured, edit, encoded, burned my AVI files with Premere pro. burner is memorex dbl layer 16x dual format. I used memorex +r media. When i try and play on dvd player..nothing. If I encode to iso image and burn with "nero" it has finalize and single session option and it plays. Output is choppy but from this site i hear memorex media is junk so that is probably the spotty output issue. "TY" in the future. Is the non-play because PP won't finalize/ single session? do I have to go with a Nero type program? Is it because my burner can rw and It needs to know to finalize/single session.?

how is the quailty of the AVI file that you are enconing? more thain likley the files are downloaded from the net right? you should always preview the files that you are going to encode before you do anything, also how fast are you burning? burning to fast will cause the problems that you are talking about, also no multitasking while you are encoding or burning, and cheep media will also cause the problems, good luck happy burning have a nice day

thanks, the tapes are relatives old family movies on vhs. Excellent quality. though I might try and score a signal processor for 'avi to dvavi' to clean up the dark spots. I shut down all on this machine when I am doing video "till my editing machine caomes alive". burn speed and bitrate are new to me so it is trial and error. Im learning as I go. I've learned that i have to reduces bitrate and quality to fit 2 hr AVI to disk.
