(sorry about the doop, just thought this thread was apropriate here.)
I just recently purchased Magic Swap v3.6 with Flip top, I installed it on my PS2 (the fat version with 10 screws) and I also use Nero Burning Rom to burn my iso files. When I tried to play my backups of Naruto Uzumaki Chronicles and aswell as my Final Fantasy 12 back up, neither of them worked and both of them resulted in the same error. I also tried to load an ORIGINAL PS2 game, while I tried to load it through Magic Swap, it said "not a valid PS2 disc" just as it did with my back ups.
This is how my procedure went:
Loaded my iso file into Nero Burning Rom, clicked File, Open, found my iso file in it's directory. Burned it as DVD considering both of my back ups were DVD, and used a Sony DVD+R to burn it with. I burned it at the lowest speed possible, and finalized the burn aswell.
After the burn, I would load the Magic Swap DVD disc, Swap cds with my flip top and instert my back up, set it to NSTC, and then hit "X" on "load program". Then I would recieve the error in blue letters saying "not a valid PS2 disc". This also goes for ORIGINAL games I insert into it, so that kinda throws me off a little. Like, even if I am burning my iso's wrong, why would an Original PS2 game say the same error?
I read all around google and yahoo before I posted here to see if I could find my own results, I also saw that this question was asked here quite a few times aswell but nowhere this question was answered.
I also read that the "Playstation's laser is very picky and required a high quality dvd cd". I also heard that not all PS2's read DVD+R, some can mainly read DVD-R. So with that being said, tomorrow I'm going to purchase some Verbitim DVD-R cds and see if that makes a difference, that's the best I do as far as answering my problem on my own.
So I need you guys for advice! All help is always greatly appreciated!
