Explorer 8300HD Hook-up to 2 HD TV's?

I purchased a second HD LCD tv that I have set up in an adjacent room. When I plug the LCD TV in to the 8300HD with the HDMI plug the signal to my original DH TV that is plugged in to the 8300HD via the component plugs turns off. I am trying to be able to keep both TV's plugged in but watch one at a time in the adjacent rooms. Is there something I can do to facilitate this configuration?
