I have a pentium 4 2.4 ghz. with 1 giga memory. I use the set up of decoding with FAB Decrypter then DVD Shrink 3.2. My DVD Decrypter is set at the speed of 10 X. I use an Lite On DVD Rom and a Lite on burner, one of the latest models. Lately its been taking me over one hour to read and one hour to write the new dvd. before I had speeds in reading and writing of about 20 minutes. What happened??

your burner has gone into the PIO mode it should be in DMA mode to check open up device manager and scroll down to your secondary controller double click on it if it shows PIO mode deleate the secondary controller and reboot your computer and windows will reinstall the controller and set your burner in the DMA mode and your burning will go back to its normal speed when your burner has problems reading dvds the burner will go into the PIO mode
