NEC - unlocking a N412i

Okay, i searched the forum but didn't find anything, so i'll ask here...

I have a N412i and basically i shoved in a B network sim card and surprisingly it works (i can call home). From my limited knowledge, isn't the N412i locked to the Telstra company? So does that mean it's already unlocked?

If not, could anyone possibly tell me how to unlock it?
