Here is the deal.
I don't own a PS2. I'm not familiar with the PS2, specially when you start talking about patching, chip mods and all that stuff. Here is what I know:

I want a game exclusive to PS2.
This Game is exclusive to Europe. (PAL) (As of now)
I can't get a copy of this game anywhere, not even on ebay.
I was able to get an ISO.
I used a ps2_pal2ntsc_yfix to conver the ISO to NTSC.
I used a DVD Decryper and i Wrote the new ISO file to a DVD-R
I tried to play the DVD-R on my friends PS2 but it say something along the lines of "insert a ps2 format"
I have no idea if his ps2 has any kind of mod chip.

So my question is, what am I missing. Does the ps2 has to have a mod chip? Which one? I want this game so bad, that if I am able to actually play it this way, I will buy a PS2. The Game is "Saint Seiya: The Hades."

Anything you can tell me, it will be appreciated. Thank you.

You need some kind of modification such as a modchip, HDLoader, or swap method to play PS2 backups. Check http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/252193 for more information.
