Hi. I was wondering if I could play any video filetype other than MP4's. Is there a homebrew app that is a video player with different codecs?
Thanks.

I was reading the readme file in the .zip and it said that it overclocks the PSP to 333MHz. Have you tried this app out yourself. I'm a little skeptical about the overclocking. Could you tell me if this homebrew is as safe as any other homebrew?
Thanks.

Never mind that. I read up on it and the only downfall is decreased battery life.

Yeah its safe. Yeah I've tried it.
It doesn't actually overclock. The PSPs CPU speed is actually underclocked by Sony to 222MHz as this increases the battery life. Setting the clock speed to 333MHz wont do anything bad to your PSP at all.

I think that those google mp4's are for iPods so their screen size and the fps are different.
I cannot play .wmv, can you?

You can play WMV by emulating firmware 2.71 or higher using DevHook. Then you can enable WMA playback in Settings-->System Settings.

Thanks, I didn't know they added video codecs in fw 2.71, I thought it was just audio.
