PCI VIA VT6421 No Drive Detected Help

Hi,

I just purchased a PCI VIA VT6421 and I disabled all IDE and when I boot up from a floppy and ran mtkflash.exe r backup.bin

I got an error "No Drive Detected"

What am I doing wrong?

Please help.

use a program called xtreme boot maker it'll do it all for you

im having the same problem aswell ive downloaded xtreme boot maker but can seem to understand this passage in his guide

Hey,

You have to use a hex editor. There is a sticky on here on how to resolve this. I followed it and was able to get to my sata.

There is a MTK flash pre hex edited already for you. YOu can download it. As for what you replace the XXX's with, you replace it with the serial number of your xbox, which is found on the back of the box on a white sticker.

do i inculde the space when in the serial# when im running "sameread"? because on the back of my box it does have a 12 digit code but theres no space btween them.
