Hi I have PS2 dragon ball Z budokai tenkaichi 2 game. Everytime i try and back it up it just shows a black screen when i boot it via swapmagic 3.6. I use DVD Decrypter and burned it at 2.4 4 6 8 and 12x still no use. When it starts to write the buffer builds up then it goes down to zero then comes back up. thats what i think the problem is. i am using highquality media such as sony and it says successful but its just a black screen, can any 1 help. by the way the game size is 2.93gb.

PS please dont ask me to reffer to any threads cause this is a problem that i cant solve.

There are two ways this could potentially be solved. One, it doesnt hurt to rebuild even if the TOC size is well below Swap magic's size, I quite often find the game runs alot smoother once rebuilt. So do a quick rebuild(Isobuster/Nero) method, and then try the game.

two, I see u havent tried burning at 2x, give that a shot as I use that as my standard burning speed for every backup I make. 9/10 it will work on 2x(worst case scenario it will be very jittery).

In addition, are you using Sony media consistently? I find that my ps2 does not like media changes, unless the media is of extremely high quality. I changed from Samsung Pleomax, to Verbatims, and for a while the ps2 would not play my verb backups. After a while they started working, d'no if this is a technical issue, but this is how it worked out for me. So you should probably stick to the same media.

At 2.93Gb, I doubt rebuilding would make one iota of difference, and will only be a waste of time.
Have you tried Swap Magic's 'Special Boot' method, or an additional loader, such as CDLoader or ZoneLoader?
If not, try that before going rebuilding & wasting another DVD.

i have tryed the special boot method and zoneloader still no use just a black screen and the analog light just glows red. I think its something to do with the burning process and why that buffer drops because i have burned movies and they work fine.Ive also tried to rebuild via isobuster and Nero still no good. hmmm this is tricky...
