Motorola DCT6412 III Questions

Greetings,

I live in Alaska and I recently upgraded to my cable provider's DVR service, which uses a Motorola DCT6412 III as it's box. The first thing I did was try to feed my XBOX360 into using the RCA/Composite input plugs in the back of the box. No go.

After searching the web for a while, I learned that many cable provider's disabled various input/output methods on their boxes to prevent piracy. Not knowing which of these were disabled on GCI's boxes, I emailed them and asked.

I guess I'm lucky compared to Comcast customers because their support manager replied and told me that GCI orders all of the boxes from Motorola and issues them as recieved; with nothing disabled. He said that GCI was never worried about piracy going rampant, so they gave their customers the benefit of the doubt.

Now that I know that these RCA/Composite plugs work, there has to be something I'm missing to actually switch over to seeing their feed...

Does anyone know how I could go about doing this? I've tried every button on my remote with no luck and GCI told me that since they have the same documentation about the box that I do (I downloaded several manuals from Motorola's website), which doesn't have anything on input, that they don't know any more about it than I do.
