if you've got a 078 Hitachi drive then the Xecuter 78 would be for you and most any modder can/will install them.

then myself i wouldn't put a chip in, I'd just go with the Xecuter 360 Connectivity Kit v2, the other chips aren't very reliable and only work about 20% of the time (being generous there too).

they run about 40 bucks US shipped, i don't have MSN but the 360 Connectivity Kit v2 is a very easy install to anyone just make sure you get a tool kit for disassembly of the console if you don't have the tools already (and most people don't)
on another note if you want to wait a bit longer the Fractal 360 Chip should be out very soon and it's rumored through my sources to be a great functionality chip on all drives with on the fly patching (you do not have to flash your drives firmware) and is disabled when booted with an original disc so XBOX Live is still 100% functional with the chip undetectable. price is quoted to be around $60 US and is a 12 wire installation.

And this chip, makes DVD copies easy to actually copy? I mean with this chip, backups won't need strange methods, just Copy DVD, right?

YES with the Fractal 360 it plays 1-1 burns, image converting is not necessary.
@train2335 I've already dealt with the legal end of both Nintendo and Sony about modding consoles back in '02, I'd be very careful about any public offers of modding and shipping back to UK residents.
