I have a PS2 V4. Matrix infinity chip was just installed. I have tried to back up my games on a FujiFilm DVD+R. My regular games work as well as DVDs in the PS2. Any suggestions where to start problem shooting?
Also, does the Matrix Infinity have firm wire? If it does not, should I install it.

Install firmware. get from orginal matrix site and burn to cd. Also try better DVD like SONY

Thanks. I did not see a link to download it from the site where I purchased my matrix chip. Do you have a link to what you recommend I download? Also, once it is on a cd, how do I install it into the PS2?

The newest one V 1.93. Once u burn the image file and if u installed the chip correctly it should boot to the install.

also something to note. Make 100% sure that the chip
is a REAL Matrix Infinity and not a clone chip that uses the old
MI firmware.
If it is a clone chip then flashing it will fry the chip making it useless.
