CD version of Swap Magic not booting up?

Hi, my swap magic version 3.6 DVD works just fine (except ive noticed it gets scratched pretty easy) and one day i decided to use my CD version, i hear clicking noises, then it won't load?? Ive heard of this cd thing i can download and use my DVD of swap magic, but i dont want to ware out my DVD version. Also, would it be possible that my ps2 laser is making the scratches on the disk? thanks.

Well, I have no clue about the CD version, other than it can only play burned CD games. I think SOMETHING may be scratching the Swap magic disk because, I had mine for about 5 or 6 months now, and I treat the disk like it was my own child. If I were to show you the back of my disk, you would think I danced on it. There are many scratches, but it still works. :P

Happens to me too, my CD version is new but sometimes it doesnt load. Usually rebooting the CD a second time works just fine.
