Help fixing R button that acts stuck?? (but is not physically stuck)

I've opened it up, and the R button is not stuck, and the rubber cup isn't stuck or malformed. But if I try to do something like enter data for a URL, the cursor repeated moves to the right as if the R button is pressed.

Suggestions to troubleshoot or repair?

i think that the R ribbon has been damaged there for it keeps sending a signale to your psp as if you were pressing it
