I am finally going to get DSL ! I'm one of the last pioneers still on dial-up. Anyway. I've never played PS2 online. Anyone with knowledge could you help me out.

1. Has anyone seen this product before ? A USB Ethernet Adapter for PS2 ? Will that work ?

2. Can I play my backups online ? I have a flip-top and use swap magic.

1. It possibly will, but there's no guarantee it'll work with every game. Datel produced a Network Adapter a while ago, and it only worked on some of the older games. For full compatibility always use the official Sony Network Adapter.

2. Yes you can. Check the Disc ID lists for instructions (particularly the NTSC one)

1. I am not even sure what the real use for this product is.
A slimline PS2 will have an ethernet plug already? And a fat PS2 you have the network adapter. Then all you need is a crossover cable to hook it to the PC.

2. Yes, with originals you can play online.
With a back up game they all have to be patched with the DNAS code before you burn them or they will not have the online features.
