INTRODUCING THE NME-360 - the first real Modchip for the Xbox360!

The NME-360 enables your XBox360 to play backups of your highly valuable original games. NME-360 is a universal solution for ALL currently available XBox360 Consoles on the market. Forget crazy dual mods with 30+ wires or even bricking your DVD drive by flashing corrupt/wrong firmware files. Your original firmware stays untouched and intact at any time when using the NME-360. There is no need for any firmware reading or flashing.

Simply install the NME-360 to you XBox 360's DVD drive and you are ready to go ...
NME-360 - the clever solution:

The NME-360 autodetects the inserted media. If the inserted media is a backup NME-360 injects the necessary information to the DVD drive enabling it to boot smoothly ahead! If the media is an original game, or anything else, which doesnt require any further action of the NME-360 then it simply falls asleep so there is no need for an external switch whatsoever. This way it can not be detected online when you play an original onlinegame.

Features of the latest NME v1.2 Chip:
- one chip for all drives: Samsung ms25 and ms28, Hitachi/LG 46,47,58,59 and of course the famous 78 (All 78 versions. We have seen many)
- Added logic to support possible future Hitachi/LG versions as well
- 100% Auto detection of Backup or Original
- 100% Auto detection of drive version. No need for jumpers on chip
- optional: Power Led will turn off when a Backup is detected
- optional: disables the network when playing backups
- new improved and very stable media detection, budget media support
- now working with pioneer 111d and Pioneer based burners as well as all LG burners.
- 100% Firmware Stealth, when MS tries to read the Firmware then it replies as 100% original unmodified. No error code E66.
- optional: 100% Live secure when playing Backups
- Based on 1000s of hours of research and programming
- Manufactured with highest quality Logic, PCB and components. Made in Europe.
- Complies with RoHS directive (lead free). Gold plated solder pads, for easy soldering.

All this info from www.team-underdog.com props to them :D

Does this actually work, because I have been on other xbox360 mod forums and this is the first I have heard about this.

Also can you play your backup games online with this ?

You will void your warranty both ways as you have to take the box apart to flash it or to put the nme chip in.

I can't tell you the pro's and con's for an NME as I havent seen one in action or heard any good reviews about them but as for the flashing of the firmware, It's cheap as in free, doesnt take too long to do it and you can still play on live (at the moment) with your backed up games. You may have to upgrade your firmware when new versions come out but as soon as the 360 blaster is out that will not be a problem to do :-)

The 360 blaster is a little device made by team executer (got to love those guys) which will stop the need to keep taking your box apart to flash the drive.

"Simply install the NME-360 to you XBox 360's DVD drive and you are ready to go"!!!! easier said than done.

I just ordered one of those thingy. Now I have to figure out how to install it. When I installed one of these (DMS lite) in my PS2, I was able to find all kind of pictures and instruction about where and how to solder and run the wire, as well as the type, size of wires to use and where to position the modchip. I did not get so much luck with this one. All I can find is the few pictures showing on the manufacturer web site. Nothing else. Does any one of you know where I can get a bit more info before heating up the soldering gun.

Thanks

P.S. please don't reply that I should flash my firmware instead.

Note, this firmware chip is quite old, and new 360 come with goo over the firmware chips. It makes it much easier to damage the dvd-rom drive. Make sure you either have a older console, or are very patient in removing the goo. I have also heard that alot of the newer consoles are coming with lite-on drives, which are not modable with the NME firmware chip.

I wouldnt use any of these solutions as of yet, IMO anyways. I would wait for a real mod chip, once the 360s security is broken.

IMHO, games are so cheap on ebay, i cant be bothered. But if i had to have a mod, right this second. I would flash the drive, instead of soldering a piggie back firmware ship on.

the 360 blaster looks amazing. It says it dumps the games from the xbox dvd drive to your pc, is this like with XBOX 1?
