hi dela, u said tht we hv to upload to get a good download speed. now will tht effect only the current session or will the credit remains forever? say, im downloadin some file and im almost half way thru it by bein in the queue for quite sometime and uploadin a good deal of files. now, i restarted my pc, will my position in the queue remain the same? or do i need to do the whole thing like waitin in the queue for hours, uploading etc..?
also im gettin LOWID since ages. i've been using kazaa lately and shifted to emule. emule really rocks except tht im gettin low id everytime. i've no router or modem. i get my net thru a cable thats all. i get around 30kb/sec. may b my isp is behind a firewall and blocked all the ports. wht should i do now? i've tried everything i found on ur site and also on the official site of emule. even port 80 is not reachable itseems. i scanned my system by PCFLANK, it says all ports all closed except 80 and 23. and when i try to connect thru these ports, it says they'r not reachable. this is very frustratin. pls help me dela.
so, lemme know if this waitin and uploadin effects only the current session? if i re-install emule will my credits remain the same? and how do i get off with this low id? u said u'll post a detailed info abt this low id.. is it out? thx for ur time and really sorry for makin this mail so big.. but u c, i've no other chance than approaching u.
prakash frm INDIA.

You cant really do anything about it if u have a shitty isp that limit your use like that unfortunately! You cant open those ports either if your isp is running the firewall!

well there is no need to be doing that because your credit list contains other ppls info, so it wouldnt speed up your downloads!

Just a couple of quick points:
1) WTF is a topic titled "big question for Dela" all about? couldn't you have made the topic name relevent to the question?
2) How do the credit lists work? is it on the username? or does each eMule install have a unique ID code? if you change your user id, do you effectively lose your credits (or gain them if you picked a good name)

abey oo maa ke loude, gand bhar gayi re theri. madarchod saale. tera bulla ko kaat doonga..!!! hey u mr.perfect,
1)all the questions abt emule are being asked already. and i've got the most peculiar question i guess. thtz y i gave the title like tht so tht Dela will atleast see it. and if u got a prob with tht, then *KMA*
2)the credit list works based on the files u uploaded, the more u upload, the more credits u'll get, therefore, u'll get thru the queue faster and download faster.it is not dependant on the user name.

Is your cable modem inside or outside of your pc?? If its outside, you'll need to access the configuration and set up 'port forwarding' or a few 'virtual servers', which will forward the data on the specified ports directly to your pc. It worked for me :)
Try changing the ports emule uses as well, if it can be done?
