hi!! i am new at afterdawn.. just registered. i bought a sagem dbox2 from ebay and recieved it yesterday (monday) i got a crossovercable, serial cable and a cd with it. i want to watch all the channels (u know all the p*y-tv). the box is already in debug mode and has nutrino already installed in it. i have read lots of tutorials but cant get to connect the box to the computer. i get to the part where i change the ip and then when i connect the crossovercable to the ethernet port at the back of the pc, the local area connection says the cable is unpluged. can someone please tell me if i am doing anything wrong. or if there is another easier way to do this.

any help will be appritiated..thanks

couple of things to check/try

1 - disable firewall on XP
2 - set network settings to 10mb half duplex
3 - disable XP media sensing via registry import
