PS2 Slim Power Problem

I have a PS2 Slim that isn't working anymore. The power isn't turning on and basically its because the connections inside are too messed up to recognise the lead you put into it. Is there any other way to connect it up other than the lead they supply in the first place?

How it the power plug "messed up"? You might be able to repair it.

He is probably referring to the prongs located in the yellow power input. Cal be fixed easily with a toothpick, or something short and skinny (paperclip etc.) If all dosent work well, nothing beats soldering a new power plug onto the mobo.
