Hello, I recently got a Flip Top v4 for my PS2 and I installed myself. Everything works perfectly but the PS2 makes this really loud noise when it is reading a disc. Is there actually any way to prevent this noise? The way I'm using is putting a heavy weight on top of my PS2 to make the sound go away but I don't think that's a very good way to solve it.

Anyone has any suggestions?

my V7 was sort of loud after the flip top was installed.
No real way to stop it really. It is just the white piece on the top that spins with the discs. They are sort of cheap and noisy.
sticking weight on top will only make it press the disc harder down and could cause both scratching and read errors.
