PSP ISO loading W/O UMD

Hey All,

I bought a PSP off eBay its great, but I'd really like to do ISO loading, one problem though, the PSP's UMD drive doesn't work. When it tries to read the drive spins but its sorta noisey and it eventually locks up the PSP. I've tried to do ISO loading with Fastloader V 0.8 it doesn't work, I think its the UMD not working. I also tried UMD Emulator, it did the same. What can I use to load UMD's from the memory card, I have a 2GB sandisk memory card to put the ISO's on. Help!

Ok, so your advice is to upgrade to 2.71? I will not have to use UMD's then? Also, what about homebrew compatibility? Can you run home brew on a 2.71 PSP? What do I have to do to get the 2.71 eboot? can I down grade after I upgrade? Thanks for the help!

You can't update to the REAL 2.71. You have to upgrade to the HACKED 2.71 upgrade, which offers some decent things. I was never really a big fan of SE, but here's the link:
