Hi thanks for looking in,i've got a psp for the little lad for chrimbo,now it's version 2.50 and i've checked the umd draw and it's hard to make out what the board is,i've tried a magnefimg(sp) glass and i THINK it's 6001.Now i got 2 games with it just put gta in to make sure it works,but this is now telling me i need to upgrade to version 2.60 to play the game.Now if i do this can i still downgrade it after xmas.Sorry for the title but wanting to make sure it works fine before he comes home

yeah you can upgrade to 2.6, but dont go above 2.71 or youll have to wait a long time for a downgrader.

you can still downgrade from 2.5 u no. it hold the same risk as the 2.6 and its the same method.

Yeah you do. Upgrading to 2.71 and then downgrading is the best method IMO cos you dont have to buy an unpatched UMD of GTA (assuming you didnt have it already).
