How do I drop down from 16x to 8x using Nero Burning Rom?

I don't see any options within the Preferences menu... (DVDShrink)

I tried doing it through Nero Start Smart, but there's no 'apply' tab, and the preferences aren't saved once you exit out...

Kind of a pain since DVD Shrink jumps right over to Nero as soon as it detects blank media when it gets to the write stage.

When you click the Backup radio button in DVD Shrink the burn setting are on the last tab on the right...make sure you have a blank disc in the drive so that you will be given the supported burn speeds for the disc, otherwise you will be given a default selection. The default for Nero is "Maximum", so for each burn you will have to select the burn speed. DVD Decrypter and Imgburn however remember your settings and will burn at the speed of your last burn..set it and forget it.
