Can someone out there help.
I cannot burn "In My Country". I have got DVD Shrink 3.2. When i Re-author, i get duration time 1:38:50. size 5,256 MB. I have got the compression set to automatic. I have the green bar at 4,464 and red at 5,256 MB. How can i shrink it down to fit onto a 4.7 Gb. Blank disk.

Ignore the "file too large" message and complete encoding, when it's done run the new file through DVD Shrink a second time. Also remove all audio except AC3 5.1 and any subtitles you don't need. Most people choose to reauthor the backup which will give you the movie only and reduce the size of the backup.

Something doesn't sound right, a movie at that length should easily fit.

You are using a version of Nero which doesn't support autoburning via DVD Shrink...either backup to 6.6.0.18 of Nero or use autoburn with DVD Decrypter or Imgburn.

Thanks a lot for that. Uninstalled Nero and reinstalled. Burning is now OK. But i still have a problem with backing up In My Country. When i re-author, and drag and drop, main movie title 1. The duration time is only 1:38:50. But it is still to big a file to burn with Nero, but i did burn it with CloneDVD 2. I just don't know what is going on. Is it because tha film is a "SONY".

Could be due to unremoved copy protection, you can try running the file through FixVTS or VobBlanker before DVD Shrink or Recode. What is the error message you are getting word for word...if any?

The massage i get is. Target size exceeded. The current DVD size is to big! If you continue, you may not be able to burn the resulting files. Please ensure that video is set to a
'automatic compression, (It is) or try disabling some audio streams, are you sure you want to continue. I click yes. It will read the movie. But when it comes to burn the blank disc ie ejected.

You should be able to click yes here and when it is finished open the new file and run it through DVD Shrink once again.
Are you attempting to backup the entire disc or the movie only? Remove all audio streams except AC3 5.1 and subtitles not needed....even better would be to reauthor the disc, this will only give you the movie but you free up room for compression making a higher quality backup. You always have the original if you want to watch the special features.

I have tried to run it through DVD Srink again, but when it comes to burn the blank is ejected. I do re-author to movie only. The duration is only 1:38:50. The green part of the bar, is at 4,464 and the red part is at 5,256.

Can you provide us with a screen shot...as Mystice stated an 1'30" movie should fit easily, especially if backing up in reauthor mode. Do you have Nero Recode? You might try using it in lieu of DVD Shrink and see if you get similar results.

Seeing as it's a Sony movie this very well could be your problem.
Why don't you start over following this guide:

For a 98 min Movie Only conversion with only Dolby 5.1 selected there is absolutely nothing to gained by going with Rebuilder. Shrink's results with AEC enabled (probably even without) will produce a superior end result. There is absolutely no reason to completely re-encode a movie when Shrink pegs compression at 96%. With such slight compression a good transcoder is prefered.

Sounds kinda odd, very similar to "The Fog" that it reads "can not be compressable." I'm curious to know what tool & version did you ripped with (i.e. DVDFab Decrypter, RipIt4Me, DVD Shrink, etc.)?
Now you have 2 choices:
(1) run the VOB or VTS (already ripped files) through FixVTS via FullDVD
(2) process the VIDEO_TS.IFO (already ripped files) through VobBlanker
Or your 3rd choice, start everything over using one of the 2 FREE guides below.
Rip any DVDs with RipIt4Me +DVD Shrink + ImgBurn
New revised DVDFab +VobBlanker (or FixVTS) +DVD Shrink + ImgBurn guide
NOTE: Simply skip VobBlanker or FixVTS, unless DVD Shrink has encountered an error and can not continue.
Best of luck!!
