Call me a dummy, call me whatever, but please, please help me.

Let's just say that I downloaded an .iso torrent of a game WHICH I LEGALLY OWN, and want to make it into a backup that is playable on my modded cube...

Okay, now from what I've been able to gather, the file size needs to be an exact number in the 1,400,000 range(I can find that on the site on my own, but it's not in front of me right now). So I'm assuming there's a way to take a game that doesn't equal the exact necessary size, and make it said size... Then I would have to re-make the iso and burn the sucker onto a mini-dvd...

The problem is, through all the tutorials I've read, I can't piece together exactly how this is done... So can someone break it down to basically the "gamecube burning for dummies" level for me, and walk me through a step by step basically from the time that the ISO file is downloaded, to the point where I can put it in my cube, and you know, actually play it?

Again, I'd like to apologize for asking this already answered question, please go easy on me, and thanks in advance.

Normally, games downloaded with a torrent are split RAR archives, so use WinRAR to extract the image from the archive.

Once you have the image, check the size. If it's less than 1,459,978,240 bytes, it's most likely a wiped image. So used Looneycube's wiped GCM fixer. You can get it off modthatcube if you don't already have it.

Next, just burn it onto top quality media using either Nero or ImgBurn. Alcohol 120% will give you a block error message as I recall, and ask for some parameters, so don't bother with it. Also, some people have had issues with Nero 7, so keep that in mind.

That's basically all there is to it. Provided you have a modded GC, it's as simple as PS2 and Xbox image files. Well, besides the whole wiped image bit.

Thanks goes out to theridges for the userbars :)

There's also a chance that the file you downloaded would have a .gcm filename extension. If that's the case, just change .gcm to .iso(make sure you have "Show extensions for known file types" enabled in Windows explorer).
